Employment & Training
nth/works is an organization that is focused on competence, continuous individual growth, and compliance, which are all part of what comprises nth/works university.
Competence In our team: We have subject-matter experts in metallurgy, engineering, tooling, press operation, sensing, among others. We lean on our subject matter experts to create a learning experience that embodies the upstream and downstream processes for our operators. Over the past year, we have worked closely with Jefferson Community and Technical College System (JCTCS) to develop other enriching programs to address any learning gaps our employees may have in performing their role. We have also partnered with NIMS and PMA to provide additional training to our associates. All of these actions are tied to our desire to have the most competent operators we can have. Our team members use their knowledge of the work they perform, and the education they have received to contribute to kaizen activities focusing on different areas of each facility. These kaizen activities focus on ensuring that the work is standardized, produces a quality product, and is safe to perform. Continuous Individual Growth Other than the programs that are provided, associates and departments are encouraged to provide additional learning opportunities. These opportunities include defined stretch goals, participation in cross-functional problem solving teams, and training that is specialized for individual areas that secure our institutional understanding of emerging trends, technology, or legal impact on what we do. Compliance nth/works is committed to ensuring compliance with local and federal laws, but not simply because we are required to do so, but because we believe in the goals of these regulatory requirements. We want an environment where our employees feel safe, valued, and included, and believe that this drives employee engagement in where we are and where we want to be. We believe this is why we provide our associates and our business opportunity to the nth degree!
